9. Time Machine

LYRICS

It was the strangest thing I had ever seen
when I stumbled across a time machine
it said to me come inside please
the damn thing told me it had the keys

I was confused about life, not sure where to go
knew alot of stuff but nothing to show
needed ancient wisdom in order to grow
not to memorize but to actually know

heyyyyyyyyy
don’t you know
you gotta take it slow
and you gotta let it flow

Jungle time in 2000BC
in a big rain-forest and little old me
met with a tribe of indigenous brothers
they had never seen a white muther-fucker

and the local Sharman could easily see
I needed Ayahuasca to set my mind free
my new friends took me on a journey
the lesson that I learned was honesty

Stepped out of my time machine it was the prettiest island I had ever seen
san so white and the water so clean
a Fijian chief came and welcomed me

then at night we drank Kava with the boys
sat in a circle and made musical noise
no stress about tomorrow
or worry about the past
i learnt to relax so each day can last

hey hey

heyyyyyyyyy
don’t you know
you gotta take it slow
and you gotta let it flow

heyyyyyyyyy
don’t you know
you gotta take it slow
and you gotta let it flow

In Morocco its a sandy place
appeared a healer man with wise old face
didn’t say a word he just grabbed my hand
and led me through his mysterious land

made a camp-fire underneath a rare tree
smoked hashish and spoke philosophy
he said lose the ego if you wanta be free
key to this life is humility

In the Egyptian pyramid land,
center of the ancient and mystical man
a priest gave mushroom medicine beer
the meaning of my life was suddenly clear

the search for wisdom has no end,
never stop learning and love your friends,
the truth of it all is a grain of sand
your the same thing as your fellow man

hey hey,

heyyyyyyyyy
don’t you know
you gotta take it slow
and you gotta let it flow

heyyyyyyyyy
don’t you know
you gotta take it slow
and you gotta let it flow
